Billy is a traditional country music writer, but is quick to point out that many of his songs could be classified as Adult Contemporary, or Easy Listening. He also has been strongly influenced by many old rock and roll artists, but in the end, when it's all said and done, just about everything he writes comes out with that traditional country sound.
