This supporters page will serve two purposes. First it will serve as page that informs the fan of who is playing and supporting Billys music.
Second it will supply links and ads to the fans to place on their web pages, such as my space, youtube, and personal webpages, to help advertize billys music, and show there support.
The first place we are going to talk about is a community called paltalk. Paltalk is an audio, video format that is easy
to use, and is absolutely free to participate in! Go to this lihttp://www.paltalk.com/download/0.x/pal_install_r17709.exe,
download the program, sign up, and your ready to go.
Oh, and you dont need a mic or a webcam to participate if your only going to go into the "listen only rooms" there, or
any other room actually.
Once you can see the paltalk icon on your desktop, just click on it, enter your name and password, click on the " Login"
button. You will see a panel that says, "Paltalk scene", there you will find a button that says "Browse Rooms", if you click
on it, it will open up a list of room categories, click on the one that says" Music", and you will see another list of rooms,
click on the one thats says "Country", now you will see a list of all room playing country music. If you want to hear some
good old country music tunes, let me tell ya, I have heard tunes in these rooms that I havent heard in 40 years!
Some of them play the current tunes too, but quite a few specialize in Traditional Country music, especially the older tunes.
If your one of those people who are always complaining about not being able to hear country music on the radio
anymore, you need to get to these rooms and show your support for it. If no one listens to it, and no one actually
buys the albums of people making it, it will surely disappear forever.
Several of these rooms have been avid supporters of my music, if you go to them, be sure to request your favorite
Billy Darnell tune. A lot of the DJ's there have some of my songs, and are more than willing to play ya one or two.
First there is the " The Canadian Country Barn" it is a listening only room, and the couple that runs it,
Billy and Carrie, are real good people, and avid fans and supporters of my music. The people in this room are very
friendly and it wont take you long to make friends and get comfortable. Watch out for Carrie, she likes to bite...lol.
They have the room open from the early morning to the wee hours of the morning. Not all the rooms are open all the time.
Next room I will talk about is " Go Country With Derek ", this too is a " Listen only" room.They have a great group of DJ's
there , and again very friendly people in this room. Theres good music and good conversation, and they
will make ya feel at home right away. This room is open most all the time I do believe.
Another Room you can hear good country in is "W.I.C.R.". Owned by Ron Hoysted, and driven by a great staff of Dj's who will
gladly play ya some Billy Darnell tunes. We thank them for their support. There is an open mic monday night s now in this room for
those who like to sing and play.
You can also hear some great classic country tunes at " Cool Country World". a real good guy named BJ owns the room, and he has some
of the best Dj's on the net. This room can be a litle confusing to strangers who might enter it, ya see a BJ aint what ya think it is, a WINNIE doesnt
come from a horse, they reall dont have prince ALBERT in the can, but I promise you they will KEEP IT COUNTRY, and bring you a lot of JOY in
the process. It's another great room!
Last but not least, the next room I am going to refer you to is a room that is open weekdays from 3PM (CST) till 7 PM (CST).
The gentleman that runs it spent most of his days in Nashville, playing music, and now he has moved a little farther North,
and he mostly spends his time promoting Traditional Country music, and new rising independent recording artists. The
name of the room is " Jerry Mac and Friends ".( it too is a listening room only ) Now let me warn you up front, jerry has
a very firm set of rules, and he don't play around. If ya go in there , be on your best behaviour, learn the rules , and dont
break them. You'll get a warning if you do so, and if you do it a second time, he will kick ya out of the room , and ban
ya from entering it again. He likes providing a controlled enviroment where people can come and sit and relax without
being bothered by anyone that wants to be obnoxious. He's getting up in years and his tolerance level is very low, so be good.
There are several other rooms there that are listening only rooms also, but I am not sure which ones have dj's that are
playing my music so I dont frequent them as often. If you have a mic and like to sing, or just share your favorite tunes,
there are rooms there for that also. It's a great format, and you can meet a lot of good people, and have a lot of fun there.
